21 Years Later

I'm sitting in our RV, lovingly named 'Cora'.  Hubby and I are on our Summer holiday.  Im having my morning cuppa and getting ready to 'do my nails'.
My darling hubby and our precious girl Lady May are still fast asleep.
I love this time of the morning, when I can reflect.
Today I reflect on one of the happiest days of my entire life.
Our Wedding day. July 26th 2001

We are Landie_UK and Katog. http://www.katlan.ca
Together, happy, and very most of all, still deeply in love.

Our family and our closest friends know our story well. They walked with us through two of the most difficult years of our relationship. We are so thankful for all your patience and support during that time. We know we were impossible to live with. You saw how deep our love was and stayed the course with us as we finally saw the day become a reality.

A single man and woman living in two different countries connecting via an internet chat room, MS Comic Chat in 1991. Conversation was light and fun and a relationship developed based on a need for laughter and a safe friendship. Many friends were developed in those old chat days and still remain wedged in our hearts today.

Our relationship had grown and one day we found ourselves in a situation that allowed us to meet in person. We immediately fell in love and finally made our Dreams Come True in the summer of 2001 We were joined in North Shields England and reunited here in Canada  in 2002 to begin our dream.

We are still deeply in love and look forward to the next 21 years.
Happy Anniversary my darling

RK9K Closed July 21- August 1st

We’re just a day away from a relaxing holiday. Thank you so much to Suzy Q’s mom, my wonderful daughter, Kathi, for agreeing to look after our house and yard while we're away. Thank you to River’s mom, Fiona for agreeing to stop by periodically to help out with some watering when she can. Also to our wonderful neighbour, Sadie’s mom, Melissa, for helping out with the watering and agreeing to watch our yard from across the road for unusual activity. It means I will definitely relax not worrying about how things are back home.
You gals are AWESOME! Thank you.

Lady May was scheduled for her annual checkup before we head out. We were anticipating a good health report. She’s been on the upswing after her last month's bout of GI issues. However we just found out our vet is ill and we've had to postpone till we get back. We have her meds and all her mobility devices and aids are packed in 'Cora'. We have researched vet services in the area and believe all is well and we can enjoy a trouble-free holiday together.
Get Well Dr. Burleigh we'll see you in Aug.

Lady May - "I'm fine mommy. Just make sure you bring enough cookies for me okay?"
The last past 3 weeks have dragged by. I’ve been fortunate to have some furry visitors to help me pass the time. Even if they are just lounging around. They provide me with smiles and chuckles as I while away the days. We enjoyed the company of our Countess River, little Sagey poo, Miss Sadie, Miss Khione, Sir Henry, and Sir Cash.
5 year old River is one of our longest frequent visitors.
The bond between her and Lady May is often seen when they are alone together.

The beautiful Miss Sadie saying hello to the handsome Sir Cash
I love seeing the positions dogs lay in when fun time has ended and resting time begins.

Miss Khione decides a higher up position is of far greater value.

Miss Khione - "What? The grass is too wet down there."
There's always a dryer, cooler and softer place to sleep in the Gazebo area dear Khione.
The gentleman have decided to join Lady May by the cool fan.
They had their fill of the sun and shade and sought more comfort.

Waiting to go for a drive boys?

We were able to find a day for a M&G with Suzy Q.’s new big brother, Walter. I'll sit down and write up his M&G post soon. I'm just a tad busy at the moment.  It happened to be on a day he could meet up with Sir Cash. They’ll be spending some days together when we return in Aug. Yay, new best buds!

Suzy Q - "Hey you guys wait for me!"

Cash and Walter met on either sides of the fence. It only took a few short minutes before they were calm and ready for a true gentleman greeting. These two distinguished fellows will be together with us mid August. We're certainly looking forward to it. Welcome to The Royals, Walter.

Walter sporting his new bow-tie and collar. So handsome!
Enough wandering around. Time to enjoy the shade.
Thank you for keeping me occupied buddies. You’ve all allowed me to keep busy and get some outdoor chores completed. Now to load up Cora with the last-minute items and we’ll be off!
See you in August!

Good Morning July. Come on in!

I looked at my calendar this morning and said to daddy, “Is June really finished?” Well, that’s it then. we’re halfway through the year 2022. July is here.
I’ve been waiting for what seems like forever for July to roll in. Our camping trip is only 2 weeks away. Please be sure to mark your calendars. Royal K9 Korner will be closed from July 21- August 1st.

We had a bit of a change for July daycare and a couple of newcomers we’re hoping to introduce. The first change is our scheduled meeting with little visitors, sweet Pixie, and her brother Chico, all the way from Oregon USA. They needed to cancel because their daddy cannot travel. He did some damage to his tendon! Ow daddy take care and heal well. We look forward to possible daycare in the future.

This month we have set up a M&G with Mr. Walter. He is approx. 5-years-old and a new big brother for little Suzy Q. So we’ve already met Walter with his dad a few times. He hasn’t needed day care, until now. We are looking forward to future visits as he gets to know our extended pack. He’s possibly going to spend a day with Sir Cash and Sir Henry later in the month for a private meeting.
Oh BOY! Let the good times roll!

lil Molly (RIP) meets with Walter at his home in early May
Another new potential visitor is 6-month-old Miss Lista (pronounced, Leesta) Earlier in the year, she was adopted by the mom and dad of our late Baroness, Miss Mylu (RIP) Lista has poured her love into their lives and is a welcomed addition to their hearts. We had a special invitation to meet with Lista at her home last weekend. Thank you for the lovely visit, Vivian, and Ian. Lista is currently enrolled in an extensive training program. She’s a beauty for sure and obviously an extremely smart girl!

Along with Lady May, we had our Countess River visiting that day. We knew there would be a lot of excitement and chose to allow ‘our girls’ to meet Lista only through the safety of the open window of our truck. Due to our spay/neuter policy Lista will not be visiting until her spay is complete. That will happen when she is closer to two yrs old. We look forward to the day when Lista can truly enjoy a more relaxed and fun playtime with our extended pack.
Congratulations Vivian and Ian. She’s a lucky girl to have found a place in your hearts!

What a good girl!
Although it will be awhile until she is here for daycare, we are looking forward to welcoming her after her spay. Keep up the great work on your training exercises!

This month we have days booked for Sir Henry, Cash, Sage, Khione and Miss Suzy Q. I know we'll have a wonderful time. The sun is coming out and the pools are set up.

Remember to mark your calendars. Royal K9 Korner will be closed from July 21- August 1st.
